This booklet provides information and advice on insects which may be troublesome in the outdoor environment. The booklet discusses the different reasons for why insects bite and sting, and how to potenitally prevent stings. The booklet includes photos and illustrations to show the different insects that the text is discussing.
Dr Harry Riches has had a life-long interest in honey bees, and was a Consultant Physician to Harefield Heart Hospital for twenty-eight years prior to his retirement. He had lectured and written extensively on the subject of allergy problems associated with stings. He is currently President and a director of Beecraft Ltd and a director of National Honey Show Ltd. Previously, he has been President and Chairman of the Central Association of Beekeepers, and Council member of the International Bee Research Association.
