Dr Harry Riches has had a life-long interest in honey bees, and was a Consultant Physician to Harefield Heart Hospital for twenty-eight years prior to his retirement. He had lectured and written extensively on the subject of allergy problems associated with stings. He is currently President and a director of Beecraft Ltd and a director of National Honey Show Ltd. Previously, he has been President and Chairman of the Central Association of Beekeepers, and Council member of the International Bee Research Association.
